LCWAG Girl emPower (2)

Welcome to

Girl emPower

The program is designed to help girls build confidence, strengthen resilience, explore leadership, and develop the tools they need to learn, lead, grow, and thrive. Through the annual Girl emPower Summit, pop-up events, and other engagement opportunities, Girl EmPower connects girls with peers, mentors, women leaders, educators, subject matter experts, and community partners.

Girl EmPower is grounded in LCWAG’s mission to educate, empower and collaborate to advance Loudoun’s women and girls. It creates intentional spaces where girls feel welcomed, supported, and encouraged to explore who they are, what they care about, and how they can contribute to their communities.

— Why it matters

We listen first

By investing in girls today, Girl emPower helps strengthen the next generation of women leaders across Loudoun County.

These focus areas are shaped by community needs, participant feedback, and LCWAG’s broader research on the challenges affecting women and girls in Loudoun County.

LCWAG’s research continues to show the importance of listening to and supporting women and girls. Through the Voices of Loudoun Women series, LCWAG has gathered more than 1,200 responses over five years to better understand local needs and guide programming. Recent findings highlight continued concerns around mental health, social connection, health care access, food and nutritional support, childcare, and safety.

By investing in girls today, Girl EmPower helps strengthen the next generation of women leaders across Loudoun County. The program gives young women access to encouragement, information, community, and role models, helping them build the confidence and skills to thrive now and in the future.
