Thanks to key sponsors Amazon Web Services and Backflow Technology, the Girl emPower Summit is free for all attendees. The virtual event will be held Saturday, September 25, at 10 a.m. &#8211; 12:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">\u201cAWS is honored to be a key sponsor for the Girl emPower Summit once again this year,\u201d said Wilberte Paul, Community Engagement Manager at AWS. \u201cDuring last year\u2019s sessions, we witnessed young women across the region connect over their commitment to community leadership. We can\u2019t wait to see the powerful initiatives and entrepreneurial ventures launched by this generation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">\u201cAs a founding member of LCWAG, it is especially rewarding to watch this hallmark program grow roots in the local community,\u201d said Carol Barbe, President and CEO of Backflow Technology, LLC. \u201cA full 100% of attendees surveyed last year told us that after attending the 2020 Girl emPower Summit, they felt more confident about their future goals. In January, the high school freshman was awarded $1,000 for the 2021 summit by the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce, after winning the Young Professionals category of the Community Leadership Awards. When she\u2019s not in class or volunteering for LCWAG, Riar is running her own business.
