The survey is designed to identify the important issues and unmet needs that impact women ages 18 and over.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">All women living in Loudoun County are invited to complete the survey here: www.lcwag.org\/survey<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">The brief survey is estimated to take just 5-10 minutes to complete, and all individual responses will remain anonymous. LCWAG will use the feedback to inform programming and develop a framework for local nonprofits, policymakers, and other community leaders to address the impact of COVID-19 on women.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">\u201cWe are seeing very concerning national trends, including loss of income, increased rates of domestic and intimate partner violence, and intensifying stress and other mental health challenges,\u201d said Angela Mitchell, LCWAG Commission Chair. \u201cThis survey will help us understand the local nuances of those trends, which we can alleviate and continue to monitor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">One focus area of LCWAG\u2019s survey concerns women\u2019s economic security. In the month of September, four times as many women than men left the U.S. labor force. Groups such as the Institute for Women\u2019s Policy Research have called the current recession a \u201cshecession,\u201d due to its disproportionate effects on women, especially Black women and other women of color.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\">Faith leaders, community organizations, and other local leaders are encouraged to share the survey with their members. LCWAG will report on the results soon after the survey period is completed.
